I want to thank every one of you and I dread doing this because I know I will miss someone who made a huge contribution to the success of dancing feet 2017. I realize that not everything went smoothly or without friction BUT we came through in flying colors. Everyone had some involvement, but I particularly want to thank ALL of the following people;
Ruth Mikusko; our concert manager, for handling so many jobs and for providing an invaluable interface with the University Staff,
Deborah Savage; who did everything on the web, and was such an ally during the ticketing process,
Kevin Lesko; for directing the PORT and creating the best publicity campaign we have ever had,
Lin Pettengil; as our fearless president and as an invaluable member of the concert committee, and all her work in selling adverts and putting the program together
Julee Montez; as an invaluable concert committee member, advisor and aid on almost everything, especially reminding me to acquire some cash for the box office.
Susan Worland for helping on the concert Committee when she could;
Alan Twhigg for editing the program booklet and particularly for making all the changes as the concert adjustments dictated.
Dave Deacon and Gordon Deeg, for taking on the Ticketing and Ushers jobs
All the PORT members for the many different jobs they did, (I love the post card ads!
Karl Davis (out of the past), Ellen Aaron, Kathleen Thorne and her causing Linda, Bill and Marilyn Stocker, Bruce Anderson for their roles in ticketing and ushering;
Red Thistle Music for everything they did to make the concert fly!
Jonathan Lovell for excellent announcements,
Stephen Thomforde, for providing us with excellent pipe music; especially to give a rousing start to the show!
Laura Cooper for her work on the flyer,
The SCU Presents team; Tina, Caroline, Armida, Chris and others I didn’t meet,
Bryce Webster; our stage manager from SCU
Randi Keppeler; our assistant stage manager
Chris Figge; our resident photographer, and Paula Jacobson for helping him out.
AND all the dancers in Red Thistle who worked so hard to put this together.
AND not forgetting my wife, Jennifer who put in huge efforts and many hours into creating an exciting and visually entertaining dance program, and for all her work to keep our standards high.
Red Thistle; you are something to have pride in.
