Many thanks to all those who made the effort to bring this about. I know weekday performances are difficult, but unfortunately that is what many retiree groups need. After a very frustrating start, due to administrative incompetence, things improved. The audience was noisy at the start, whilst still enjoying a social lunch, but soon settled down to enjoy the entertainment. Once caught, their attention remained with us. Fred’s Highland dancers really added some sparkle to the show . Many thanks for organizing that Fred. Though barely large enough for our Country dances, the stage had a good surface and did enable everyone to see what was happening. The eighteenth century costumes looked well and emphasized a Celtic theme, though I still heard one elderly lady telling her companion how much she had liked the Irish dancing! As always the music was inspirational, although the situation for the players was hardly ideal. Many thanks to Michael for managing to get the sound system to work for both us and the audience. Have a great weekend and i will see you all on Thursday. Jennifer
