Carnival of Cultures, Fred DeMarse, 7/21/18

Dear Today’s Carnival Performance Dancers:

All went well today.  It was quite warm, but the stage was covered and secure (if a bit solid with no give and with an Astro-turf surface that made it a little tough going).

I am very pleased with the Country Dance performances.  I thought we projected well to the substantial audience. 

I am very impressed with the Highland Dance performances.  Julee, Deborah and Diane did a very nice job performing their dancers.

Thank you all for participating in the Audience Participation afterward.  We had a good number of people up for both dances.

Thank you the musicians and to Michael for managing the recordings and to Paula for putting together the recorded music we used today.  The music went flawlessly and I had several very positive comments about the music.

I am pleased with how well we did today.  Now we can all focus on the Pleasanton performance at the beginning of September.  We have a bit of work to be polished up to give a performance worthy of Red Thistle quality!!
