Dear Red Thistle Dancers and Musicians:

I could not be happier with the way our performance turned out this past Saturday at Filoli!  If you look at the photos on Facebook, you can see how beautiful the venue was decorated and how well our costumes fit with the venue and décor!  We look absolutely stunning!  I think there’s even a nice photo or two of me!

I am so very pleased with the dancing – both SCD and Highland!  Your performance quality was very high yet again!  I had very positive feedback (from VERY knowledgeable sources!) on how well everyone danced.  Improvements were noted in how we are taking hands more together and we are looking at each other more during the performance.  And I think several of you heard again that it looked like you were having fun during the performance!  This is what we are aiming for!  Congratulations!

MANY thanks are due to the musicians – Susan, Lyle, Michael and Calli – for their wonderful accompaniment!  THANK YOU for the time and effort it takes to prepare the music and for rehearsing with us prior to the day!  You guys add so much to our performances and we are very grateful to you!

Kamrin – awesome job with the Highland choreographies and for preparing the Highland dancers!  They looked fantastic during the performance yet again!

To our “family of supporters” who are there for us in the audience and in the Green Room – thank you VERY much for your cheers and applause and kind words!  You continue to motivate us to improve.

It was great to see so many of you at Julee’s house afterward!  These get-togethers outside of rehearsals and performances are just as important to maintaining the close bonding of our group!  Many thanks to Julee for hosting and to many of you for your help and donations!

To all of you – I wish you a Happy Holiday Season and I look forward to seeing many of you at our Hogmanay Party!  If not then, in the New Year!

Sincerely,

Fred
