’m just back from our performance as part of the Mosaic Silicon Valley performance today, and I am happily drinking a glass of wine to celebrate Red Thistle’s fine performances today!
I am very pleased and proud of the Red Thistle dancers who participated in the technical rehearsal last night and the two performances today for the following reasons:
All the dancers pulled together to dance as a single team with beautiful phrasing and covering!
Handing and partnering were excellent!
The team exhibited professionalism both days.
The team “played well” with all of the other participating groups!
I heard excellent feedback from the event organizers and other dancers on our wonderful performance, energy and spirit!
Paula – The recorded music came off flawlessly! Thank you for your efforts to create the recording and to get it to the organizers in the format they needed.
The audience was very responsive during both performances. The audiences clapped during all of the quick-time pieces and were appreciative of the precision and phrasing the dances exhibited!
The finale at the end of this evening’s performance was the BEST, most energetic and most inclusive finale I’ve ever been a part of!
Awesome job this weekend! I am SUPER happy!
Of course, none of our success and enjoyment is possible without the hard-working efforts and talent of our Red Thistle musicians – Susan, Lyle and Michael!
Many thanks to all three of you for your efforts to create and record the arrangements to which we danced today! They beautifully complemented the dances – both Country and Highland – and were fully enjoyed by the dancers and the audience.
