Pleasanton, Jennifer Kelly, 8/31/14

Sincere congratulations everyone, on pulling together a fine performance, which I was about ready to cancel three weeks ago! Really hard work at the last minute, great focus on the day and fantastic efforts by our musicians and Highland dancers saved the day. Many thanks Kamrin and crew! Our musicians have had a very busy summer and yet found time to put together delightful arrangements for our longer than usual program, and perform them with en energy, style and feeling.  How could we not dance well to such music ?! Very grateful thanks. Thanks to Diane for all the work she put into getting the ladies outfitted in charming new blouses. It was such a pleasure to see everyone in the same style and color blouse! They are the needed finishing touch to our new costumes and I know Marilyn was pleased with the improvement. Thanks to Calli & Susan and the harp crew for the lovely addition of the harp and violin arrangement for Yellow Haired Laddie.  I look forward to seeing that again . I received very complimentary comments from the audience, including those knowledgeable about Scottish dance. Well done1 Jennifer

HI!  I also want to congratulate everyone on a very nice performance.  I thought that the Highland group looked good and appreciate their efforts!  Welcome back to Candice, who hasn't performed with us since Pleasanton last year and came back strong!  Thanks, too, to everyone else (Clare, Samantha, Kevin, Dave, Diane, Ruth, Cathy, and Julee).  Thanks to Clare and Dave for transporting the swords to and from the Games.  The country medleys looked very nice, yesterday--good covering, and nice interactions between the dancers.  The musicians were wonderful, as always!  It was so great to have Calli and Susan play for Yellow Haired Laddie--it's now my favorite arrangement of the tune (Grandfather Mountain)!  I too, heard very nice comments from the audience.  Thanks again, for another fine performance at Pleasanton!  On to the November performances and Dickens!   Thanks, Kamrin

I really enjoyed the performance, for all the reasons Jennifer mentioned!  If you look on my Facebook page you can see pictures a friend of mine took, most of which are quite flattering to all of us!  And the new costumes do look really nice on everyone.
