Dear Dancers,
Please read the e-mail below from Onnolee Trapp, our contact at The Sequoias. I realized that I haven’t sent out any correspondence to the group since our performance at The Sequoias last Friday evening.
I am pleased with our overall performance, and as you can read below, our audience quite enjoyed it as well. I am VERY proud of all of you for doing such a great job!
The musicians, as always, provide so much energy and extra dimensions to every performance they are at. Thank you all – Susan, Lyle, Michael and Calli – for your time and talents that give us such enjoyment and make us perform so much better!
The Country Dancing went mostly well. I think we Country Dancers have a few things to tighten up before the two upcoming Filoli performances. These next two performances are pretty much the same program as The Sequoias performances, and I’ve tried to keep dancers with the same partners and in the same position in the set, so PLEASE personally review your performance from Friday and see if there are areas where you can be better prepared and dance a better performance!
The music for the Country Dancing was stellar – absolutely awesome!
The Step Dancers did a beautiful job in their performances! Kamrin – you would be proud of how well your dancers performed. Your choreographies looked magnificent, and the addition of Susan and Calli playing for several of the pieces added something very special and magical.

Dear Fred and Sue,
Three days since you were here, and I'm still getting wonderful praises for the Red Thistle performance on Friday evening! The residents who had conversations with some of the dancers learned more about Red Thistle, and one reported, admiringly, that one of the women had made her costume. The new costumes add so much color to the show!
Thanks for making the dancers available to talk with our residents. One thing that I hear again and again is admiration for how well executed the dances are - the intricate formations, the precision with which they are danced, and the pleasure you all exhibit as you perform. Thanks for another fantastic evening!
